Built to be worn

made to waste less

About bad object.

We all carry things we never chose. Old reactions. Misfires. Feelings that formed early and never quite left. Bad Object starts there.

In psychology, a “bad object” describes an internal presence shaped by frustration, absence, or being misunderstood. It can carry fear, anger, shame, or longing, and influence how we relate to ourselves and others long after it was formed.

Bad Object takes its name from that idea, but this is not a theory project.

This work treats inner life as material. Art has always done this better than explanation. It gives form to what is felt but hard to articulate, and makes private experience shareable without turning it into confession.

Some pieces are dark. Some are playful. Some are just satisfying shapes and ideas.

If something here resonates, good. If not, go buy a cat t-shirt. Just kidding. We sell those too.
